It can store approximately 30 MP3 or 60 WMA/WMA-DRM files in its built-in 128MB flash memory. The unit connects to a PC as a USB mass storage device, so there’s no software required – adding files is a simple drag and drop procedure. For easy operation while wearing the ear clips, the player offers JVC’s Voice Guidance system that provides audio confirmation for all functions so there’s no need to see the controls while operating them.

To enhance the music listening experience, the XA-A50CL player includes four SRS Surround modes: TruBass and Wow Mode 1, Wow Mode 2 and Wow Mode3. In addition, there are four preset EQ settings (classic, live, pop, rock) to customize the sound to suit listening preferences or music type.
