Overview:
The GVN 52 is a remote GPS sensor designed to
be integrated with factory audio/video entertainment systems in vehicles,
allowing aftermarket onboard screens to function much like a StreetPilot® car
navigation system.
Look up and route directly to specific
addressees or point of interests - including restaurants, hotels, gas stations
retail shops or ATMs - while viewing their exact location on an electronic
moving map. The GVN 52 has a "spoken text" voice prompt capability
which can be used to identify turns by street name. These turn-by-turn voice
cues can be amplified through the car audio system's speakers, while the
vehicle's video display shows the street map. The unit comes preloaded with
detailed street mapping for all of North America.
The GVN 52 is operated by the included RF
remote control. When the GVN 52 is connected to a touchscreen display, the
included RF remote control is still required for unit operation. Touching
the display screen will not operate the features of the GVN 52.
