The ECM-Z37C also features Super Uni-Directional pick-up that focuses on sound directly in front of the microphone and eliminates extraneous sounds, Phase-Tube Noise Reduction System that reduces pick-up of sounds from the side and rear of mic and universal compatibility with standard camcorder accessory shoe.
